The Success Story of a Beneficiary of Mushroom Cultivation in Kalafgan District, Takhar Province
My name is Abdul Manan, and I live in Kalafgan District. Five months ago, the esteemed Youth Better Future and Social Organization came to our village and conducted a survey. Since I was very poor, I was selected as a beneficiary of the project. They then organized training sessions on mushroom cultivation for us. I was very interested in mushroom cultivation and actively followed the training, learning about its nutritional and economic value.
Previously, I didn’t know that mushroom cultivation was possible at home, but after the training, I learned that we can cultivate mushrooms in a small space in any season and sell our produce in the market to earn a good income. The Organization chose a room in my house for me, and after practical training, I started cultivating mushrooms. After 26 days, the mushrooms were ready for harvest. Selling them in the market has improved my economic situation. Now, I can offer fresh mushrooms to the market every week and earn an income to cover some household expenses.
I am very happy and grateful to the Youth Better Future and Social Organization for improving my economic situation. Initially, I had many economic problems, but after the organization helped me with mushroom cultivation, my situation has changed and improved.
We ask the esteemed Youth Better Future and Social Organization to expand mushroom cultivation widely in this village and include more people with economic problems in this project so that their economic situation can improve like mine. This program is very beneficial for the community, and we are very happy with the Organization’s efforts. We extend our special thanks to the Youth Better Future and Social Organization.
